Along with Muffy, Lumina is my favorite bachelorettes in AWL. Muffy is just so sweet when you marry her. She’s not perfect, but no one is. She’s adorable and just looking for the right guy. I don’t understand why she’s not liked. And I like Lumina because Lumina is just flipping adorable, okay? I just love how she’s so gentle and graceful.
I never thought I’d sell a game until I played SoS. I think I’ll just marry Fritz already, have his twins and pass the game ahead.
When I started playing RF4, I was set on marrying Doug once I finished the second arc of the story. Now that I’ve reached that point in-game, though, I see Doug as more than a brother/best mate rather that marriage material, and I find myself more and more attracted to Dylas instead. It’s the first time ever that I don’t end up marrying my initial bachelor choice in a HM/RF game, and I think this proves how much more effort the developers put in character development for RF4. :)
I always hated that there is so much focus on getting married and having kids but then they are just sort of there. There is usually very little interaction afterward. In real life, I don’t even want kids so it was never appealing to get married in game knowing that in most of the games, children would be thrust into your life without your say in the matter. I prefer the games where I can get married but not meet the requirements for kids and live happily ever after with my husband anyway. It sucks that I have to miss out on certain events/experiences because of not having kids since I am a completionist. It is a choice I am willing to make in real life but not being able to complete a game because of it seems a bit off putting. It seems kind of contradictory, but I guess I would like it if a family either wasn’t required for completion or if it was expanded more to make it worth it.
Wow Good Job Val
Anonymous said to harvestmoonconfessions: uh, the last confession said “wow good job val” on the picture over and over?
CAUSE I DUN MESSED UP. Sorry, guys. Sometimes I make confessions in BULK and there are occasions when I miss a step during the confessions. PUTTING THE CONFESSION ON THE PICTURE IS USUALLY ONE OF THEM. My apologies to the confessor and to everyone else. I’m going to fix it right now!
WOW GOOD JOB VAL
When I first started Story of Seasons I was sure I’d end up with Nadi or Raeger based on appearances. There’s just something attractive about each of them individually. But now I’m stuck on wanting to wed all of the bachelors and experience them all! I might never get married just so I can have those nice little red flowers with everyone and enjoy all of their cute special dialogue.
One of the biggest reasons I love Magical Melody is because I share the same name as “Terry” and even though it sounds silly, I’m proud because he’s one of the most inspirational characters.
Okay, so I know I’m jumping on the TLV bandwagon super late, but I only just got the game and, while it is fun to some degree, I can’t help but feel a little sad over the final product. THEY HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL but there are some things that just irritate me about it, like how long it can take to unlock the other seasons, and how there are so few bachelor options. Especially bummed that Gareth isn’t a bachelor, I really wanted him to be. Still, despite any flaws, there IS sturdy framework for a great game here. I do feel that, as Natsume continues to develop games, they will be able to make something great. It’ll just take time. SoS is still my favorite of the two, though.
I have always loved Harvest Moon titles, but after playing Rune Factory 4, the games are kind of ruined for me. The characters have dialogue that changes every day, the festivals are much more interactive, the random events add tons of character development and the marriage candidates have actual personalities that make each of them interesting in their own right, not to mention the convoluted story and the dungeon crawling/crafting/leveling system… I just feel that, after getting spoiled with all this, I will find the normal games dull and boring in comparison.
I’m not sure where the stereotype that only girls play the series came from, since I’m a guy and the only two people I’ve met IRL who play them are also guys. The female part of the fanbase might be more active in online communities, but the ratio of male to female seems be a bit more even than most fans seem to think.
Just wanna let you guys know, you are cuties. <3
You are the best cutie in the world for sending us this sweet message! ♥
I really liked Rod’s personality and design and he’s such a sweetheart and really cares about people and his pets, and all that. But after I got him up high enough to date him… I noticed his “embarrassed” face looked like someone who I recently broke up with… Every time I see him happy and in love, I’m reminded of him… I wish I didn’t feel so bad about my ex and I could love Rod as much as he loves me.
In Rune Factory 4, you can pick up the birds scattered around town. I didn’t think much of this until I decided to throw one and accidentally hit someone. When I saw it took off hp, being the horrible person that I am, I decided to repeatedly chuck the poor bird at the poor villager until he lost all of his hp and fell over. Now it’s my favorite way to pass the time whenever there’s nothing to do around town.
Luke’s wedding attire makes me mad. I love this guy, he’s my favorite marriage candidate (right up next to Nami who is #1), but he dresses so bad. Like, we’re getting married Luke. Why are you rolling up the sleeves to your coat? Can’t you wait until the reception? Why did your father let you do this? Dale, Dale why? Dale, I thought you loved me at 7 hearts. Why did you let your fool son get married to me looking like that?
Six years ago, me and my friend were playing DS and DS:Cute together. We started joking about what our best gifts would be if we were bachelorettes in the game. This inspired me and I’ve spent the last five years constructing a community, player characters and a religion based on harvest dieity’s,It was a weird mix of DS/Cute, ToT, RF4, and HM64. And it was all fueled by the newer games not meeting my weird standards. I scrapped most of it for a better non-sim like story.
